Learn a little more about me: Jaaved Khatree
I’m an SEO expert in Dubai and was an SEO expert in Brisbane until I made the move to the UAE in 2013.
TL;DR:
“Jaaved Khatree is an SEO consultant from Australia who helps startups, small businesses and global brands get more website traffic through robust SEO strategies.Notable brands he’s worked with include Etihad Airways, Atlantis The Palm Dubai, OSN, flynas, Propertyfinder and Gulf News. For over 10 years he has worked both sides of the client-agency fence and has taken a keen interest in helping startups promote themselves better online.”
I’m a graduate of the fine institution that is QUT in gorgeous Brisbane, Australia. I hold degrees in Business and Information Technology – majoring in Marketing, IMC (Integrated Marketing Communications) and Information Systems.
I’ve been designing websites since 1997 and started out using Netscape Composer. I managed to get my hands on a copy of Macromedia Dreamweaver and Adobe Photoshop soon after and immersed myself in all things web design. It took a while before I even got my own domain and learnt about online marketing.
I know how to code HTML and CSS from scratch too! I’d love to learn how to customise WordPress themes from scratch but when I need something different, I go to ThemeForest. I am learning through Learnable.com which as a tonne of great resources from the good folks at Sitepoint.
I love using Hotjar to track user behaviour on websites I manage and you can get your free account here: https://www.hotjar.com/r/r4af6.
The digital space is where I feel at home and can mix it up when talking about web design, SEO and other aspects of search marketing and social media, UX and UI and even server architecture. Of special interest of late is content marketing which I’m diving right into. I remain deeply passionate about SEO and search marketing as a whole.
Right now, I’m looking at expanding my focus to cover a lot more of the digital world and it seems mobile and UI/UX are the next steps for me. As always, I’m looking to become a more confident digital marketing expert.
And in 2020, I was chosen to be a judge in the 2020 MENA Search Awards:

The biggest take away from this is that my experience is vast and varied. This means I can easily draw from this experience to deliver results no matter the industry or size of the company. And incidentally, it doesn’t matter where the company is based or where its consumer base is. My experience shows that I know enough about SEO in order to deliver robust SEO strategy and stellar results.
The next thing to ask yourself is: can you trust anyone else with less experience to truly get you results?
As a side note: I’ve also given a guest lecture on SEO at the Dubai Campus of SP Jain School of Global Management which was well received by students and teaching staff alike:
